In chemical production, even if a suitable gas mask and filter accessories are selected, improper wearing and use will still lead to failure of protection. Operators must strictly follow the entire process of inspection, wearing, use and maintenance to ensure respiratory safety.

I. Before Use: Three Inspections to Eliminate Hidden Dangers

1. Mask Body:Check that the silicone/rubber mask has no cracks or aging, the headband has normal elasticity, the valves are free of damage and blockage, and the interior is clean.

2. Filter Accessories:Confirm that the filter cartridge and filter cotton are intact and within the validity period, select them according to the type of toxic substance on site, install them in place by aligning with the bayonet and rotating clockwise 1/4 turn until a click is heard, and ensure the filter cotton and filter cotton cover are pressed tightly without gaps.

3. Connection Sealing:Ensure that the mask is tightly connected to the filter assembly without looseness or gaps to prevent falling off or air leakage during use.

II. When Wearing: Four-Step Operation to Ensure Airtightness

1. Adjust the Headband: Adjust the length according to the head shape to avoid being too tight (causing oppression) or too loose (causing air leakage).

2. Fit the Face:Hold the mask with both hands to fully cover the mouth and nose; a full-face mask should cover the entire face, with the chin closely attached to the edge of the mask, ensuring no beards or hair block the sealing surface.

3. Fix and Adjust Tightness: First fasten the lower headband, then adjust the upper headband; the tightness should be such that one finger can be inserted, ensuring the mask is properly positioned without deviation.

4. Airtightness Test (Key Step):Negative pressure test: Cover the filter cartridge and inhale slowly; the mask should concave inward without air leakage to be qualified. Positive pressure test: Cover the exhalation valve and exhale slowly; the mask should bulge slightly without air leakage to be qualified. If the test fails, readjust; if it still fails, replace the mask.

III. During Use: Three Points to Note to Ensure Operational Safety

1. Standard Entry and Exit from Contaminated Areas:Put on the mask before entering the dangerous area and remove it only after leaving; it is strictly prohibited to remove the mask for conversation or rest in a contaminated environment.

2. Timely Handling of Abnormal Situations:If you smell an unusual odor, feel difficulty breathing, dizziness or chest tightness during use, immediately evacua te to a safe area, replace the filter accessories or mask, and rework only after checking that it is normal.

3. Comply with Usage Taboos:Avoid touching the inner side and sealing part of the mask; reduce large movements to prevent the mask from shifting. In high-temperature and high-humidity environments, it is recommended to use a silicone mask with a cold flow valve to reduce stuffiness and moisture accumulation.

IV. After Use: Two-Step Handling to Extend Service Life

1. Cleaning and Disposal: Remove the filter cartridge and filter cotton and discard them directly; do not clean or reuse them. Clean the mask body with warm water and neutral detergent, avoid solvents and high-temperature water, focus on cleaning the valves, headband and sealing edge, and air-dry it in a cool and ventilated place.

2. Standard Storage: After air-drying, put the mask into a sealed bag or special box to avoid extrusion, oil pollution and exposure to sunlight; make marks indicating the model, filter type and replacement date for easy management and access.
